Josh's proposal was simply amazing!! When my mom visited us in February she, with out me having a clue, offered to give Josh my Great-Grandmothers engagement ring if he ever wanted to propose. Knowing how much I loved my Great-Grandmother he said yes and the ring was sent. Now, I knew a proposal might be coming soon, but by soon I thought six months from now. However, on March 7th 2008 Josh took me to Disneyland.
Since we have season passes I didn't think much of it because we always go to Disneyland. As you may or may not know every ride at Disneyland that has water in some way involved in it has a place where you can throw in a penny and make a wish. So, when we decided to go on the Pirates of the Caribbean ride, josh handed me a penny and asked me if I wanted to make a wish. Of course I did. He asked me what I wished for and I refused to tell him... everybody knows you can't tell or it won't come true! This continued all through the park until he took me over to Snow White's wishing well next to the castle. He gave me one last penny and said "make a wish" so I did. He grabbed my hand turned me around and when I looked he was down on one knee! To which I yelled "ARE YOU KIDDING ME?!" He told me how much he loved me and asked if I would marry him and be his wife. I of course burst into tears and said yes. He stood up handed me the ring as I threw my arms around his neck planting a big kiss on him, then told him he had to put it on me. I later told him that every wish was for him to propose...so I highly recommend throwing in that penny and making that wish...worked for me!
Seconds after the proposal
We immediately went and got our bride and groom pin, as we collect the Disneyland pins. He took me to dinner at one of our favorite restaurants called the Blue Bayou. It's the restaurant that overlooks the Pirates of the Caribbean ride. Then spent the rest of the night telling anybody and everybody that I had just gotten engaged. And to put icing on the cake my cousin Chrissy who lives in San Francisco happened to be in the park that night! All in all is was a perfect night and I couldn't have asked for a better story.
